A.S.E. Douka

Doukas do not carry a fixed rivalry the way Olympiacos or PAOK do; locally, matches against Asteras Zografou or Diomidis Argous are the ones that carry derby weight around Marousi.

The club grew out of the Douka Educational Institutions, set up in 1979 by Ioannis Doukas together with Pantis Lertsio, Georgios Tsoumis, Vasilios Kiritsis and Dimitrios Nikita, and gained official recognition as an amateur sports association the following March. Domestic doubles in 1998 and 2008 bracket a run of three league titles and four Greek Cups, and in 1994 the women's team managed a double of its own.

Home games are played at the Athletic Center Dais, an 800-seat hall that stopped being usable for a stretch in early 2022 after roof damage, sending the team to the G. Kasimatis hall at the Athens Olympic complex and to the Manos Loizos hall until repairs caught up. Dimitris Tziras, a right wing capped for Greece, is the name most associated with the club's best years on court, with Sokratis Charitonidis among its graduates.

European handball has taken Doukas into the Champions League, the EHF Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup and the Challenge Cup, campaigns that measure the club against opponents outside the trio it has to beat at home just to stay in title contention.
