Bjerringbro-Silkeborg

Two clubs from either side of the same stretch of the Gudenå valley merged in 2005, when Bjerringbro FH and Silkeborg-Voel KFUM merged their first teams to field one side strong enough to compete at the top of Danish handball. The women's sides stayed separate. That arrangement held until 2019, when Silkeborg-Voel KFUM pulled out of the cooperation and the club dropped Voel from its name, becoming simply Bjerringbro-Silkeborg Håndbold.

The single Danish Championship came in 2016, when BSH beat Team Tvis Holstebro in the final, and the Super Cup followed the same year. Beyond that one title, the club's record reads as a long run of near misses: runners-up in the league four times, bronze on four other occasions, and seven Danish Cup finals without ever lifting the trophy. Games against Aalborg Håndbold are billed locally as the Midtjysk Derby.
