«The Blaze»
The season Coventry talks about most is 2004–05, when the Blaze took the league, the play-offs and the Challenge Cup in the same year. The regular-season title came round again in 2006–07, 2007–08 and 2009–10, and the play-offs were won a second time in 2014–15, but nothing since has carried quite the same weight as that first Grand Slam.
The club did not start out as Coventry at all. It was formed in 1965 as the Solihull Barons, took the name Solihull Blaze in 1996, and only moved to Coventry in 2000, taking the city's name with it. Two Premier League titles had already been won as Solihull, in 1997–98 and 1998–99, so the honours board was not empty when the relocation happened.
