The colours arrived as a gift. In 1943 the provincial football authorities in Gipuzkoa handed Eibar a full set of FC Barcelona kit.

The town matters more here than at most clubs. Eibar sits in Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, and made its living from gunsmithing for centuries — hence Los Armeros , the Gunsmiths. Ipurúa, built in 1947.

Those seven seasons ran from 2014 to 2021, and they began with the Segunda División title in 2013–14 — the first promotion to La Liga in the club's history. The Segunda División B groups in 2006–07 and 2010–11, and six Tercera División group titles going back to 1950–51.

What it had instead was a share register.
