BNTU-BelAZ Minsk has been the measure of every women's season Gomel has played since the mid-2010s.
The women's side has needed no such patience. Between 2016 and 2023 it took the national title six times and the Cup eight times, adding the Belarusian Super Cup in 2022, 2023 and 2025 and, in 2015/2016, the Baltic Handball League — a season in which the men's team won the same competition, the one year the two sides of the club topped the same table together. Iryna Dronova and Anna Redka have carried much of that run.
The club traces itself to 1957, when a Gomel side entered the first Belarusian handball championship, but it took shape formally in 1960 with the founding of the women's team, and for most of the Soviet and early post-Soviet years it played under the name University Gomel rather than its current one. It plays in green and white, carries the nickname Lynxes, and trains and plays out of the Ice Palace, which seats 2,760 for handball.
