Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon measure themselves against Maccabi Herzliya and Hapoel Ramat Gan.
The current club is itself the product of a merger. What began in 1957 as Hapoel Ramat HaSharon absorbed Maccabi Nir Ramat HaSharon in 1997, a side named for Nir Itzhaki, a player who died in 1991 and whose club could no longer fund itself alone. The combined team carried the name Hapoel Ironi Nir Ramat HaSharon before it was trimmed to its present form in 2013.
On the pitch, the high point came in 2010–11, when the club won the Liga Leumit and its accompanying Toto Cup and went up to the Premier League for the first time in its history. Finishing sixth in 2012–13, before relegation in 2014 sent it back down. A run to the State Cup semi-finals in 2009–10 sits alongside an earlier promotion, the Liga Artzit and Toto Cup double of 2003–04, on the shorter list of what the club has to show for nearly seven decades.
The recent turn has been administrative rather than sporting: relegation to Liga Alef came in July 2025 over regulatory compliance rather than results, and by January 2026 the club had passed into the hands of producer Yoav Gross. They still play at Yankele Grundman Stadium, home enough for a ground that holds 4,300.
