Nissa

Nissa Rugby went back to that name in 2025, closing a run of a decade under Stade Niçois, and the club took the Championnat de France de Nationale title in 2024. The eagle on the badge has stayed constant through every rebrand since 1912, when the club began life as Racing Rugby Club de Nice.

The Nationale title of 2024 sits above everything else the club has won, not because of the level but because of how long the wait had been: the previous major honours belonged to a different era and a different name, Racing Niçois, which lifted the Challenge Yves du Manoir in 1985 and the Challenge de l'Espérance twice in the 1970s.

Derbies with Provence Rugby and RC Grasse carry the sharpest edge in the local press. Among the names that have worn the shirt, Jean-François Tordo remains one the city still talks about.

Home games are played in front of no more than 3,000 at Stade Marcel-Volot, a ground on the scale of the club's own city rather than of the ambitions its 2024 title suggested, red, black and white flying under the same eagle that gave Nice its own crest.
