Orbit College

Twenty-five wins from top flight, Orbit College had never asked for. What the Mswenko Boys earned instead came on 25 June 2025, when a goal from Letsie Koapeng, teed up by the on-loan Gomolemo Khoto, beat Cape Town City FC 1–0 in the final of the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs. It was the club's first promotion to the Betway Premiership, and it made Orbit College the first side from North West Province to reach the top division since 2018.

The road there had been quick rather than long. The club grew out of a decision by the Orbit TVET College council in 2009 to field a team for the Inter-Provincial College Competition, and it had worked through the SAFA Second Division, winning the North West Stream A section in 2021–22 and again in 2022–23, then reaching the National First Division and finishing runners-up there in 2024–25 before the playoff win sealed promotion. The coach for that run, Pogiso Makhoye, kept his day job as an IT technician at a TVET college while taking the team up.

The top flight gave little back. Orbit College finished bottom of the 2025–26 Betway Premiership, and went straight back down alongside Magesi FC. Four players left the club once relegation was confirmed.

Rustenburg, in North West Province, watched a club go up and come down inside a single season. Home matches are played in front of a crowd that Olympia Park Stadium can grow to 32,000, in the sky blue and white the club has worn since its college days.
