Jordon Brown and Ryan Strachan ran the dugout together, and it was under that pairing that Peterhead won Scottish League Two in 2024-25 and went up into League One. The title was their third, after those claimed in 2013-14 and 2018-19.
Rodger Morrison is chairman now, a former Scotland international who came back to run the club he once played for. Cammy Smith, meanwhile, sits among the highest scorers in Peterhead's history. The club go by "The Blue Toon," a nickname lifted straight from the town, and the kit has stayed royal blue for as long as records show.
Balmoor Stadium holds 3,150, with 1,000 of those seated, on the Aberdeenshire coast where the town makes its living from fishing rather than football.
The old rivalry runs with Fraserburgh, forged when both were Highland League clubs contesting the Aberdeenshire Cup — Peterhead have won it 20 times. These days the sharper needle is with Elgin City, the club they now share League One with. The Highland League championship itself came Peterhead's way five times, the last of them in 1998.
Peterhead was founded in 1891, and spent most of its history in the Highland League before the Scottish Football League let the club in, in 2000.
