The ground on Tukuma iela is a municipal one, seating 1,000.

The reserve team came into being in 2007, when FK Tukums 2000 first entered a second side into the Latvian second tier, seven years after the parent club was founded.

The season that followed belonged to the seniors. In 2008 FK Tukums 2000 won the Latvian First League and went up to the Higher League, which meant the reserves were suddenly the second team of a top-flight club.

Around 2020 the club was managed by the Polish coach Marek Zub.

The green and white stripes are the parent club's; so is the crest. Tukums II have never had either drawn up separately for themselves.
