Tychy

The Stadion Zimowy w Tychach holds just 2,753 people. GKS Tychy traces its roots to 1956, when Górnik Murcki first set up an ice hockey section; the club took its current shape in 1971, formed out of that section along with Polonia Tychy and part of Górnik Wesoła. The name on the jersey shifted more than once afterwards — Piast, Tysovia, TTS, Górnośląski Klub Sportowy — before the club settled back on GKS Tychy in 2008.

Green, black and red are the club colours, and supporters call the team "Czarne" — the Blacks. Krzysztof Oliwa is remembered alongside Mariusz Czerkawski.

Eleven Polish Cup wins since 2001 make it the deepest line in the trophy case.
