Vysočina Jihlava

Jihlava sits in the Vysočina highlands. The present identity, FC Vysočina Jihlava, only dates from 2000.

The club has never played outside Jihlava, and the Stadion v Jiráskově ulici has been its home throughout.

Vysočina has reached the top flight twice, both times by finishing second in the second division: in 2004/05 and again in 2011/12. The second spell lasted six seasons, from 2012 to 2018, and produced the club's best league placing, eighth, in 2013/14. Relegation followed in 2017/18, and a year later the club finished second in the second tier again but lost the promotion play-off to Karviná, a tie remembered locally for refereeing errors rather than the football. It has stayed in the second division since. In the cup, the furthest Vysočina has gone is a 2003/04 semi-final, lost to Sparta Prague.

Roman Pivarník took the club up twice as coach, both times via that same second-place route through the second division.
