Yalıkavak SK Women

Two seasons before the 2023–24 campaign, the women handling the ball for Yalıkavak SK were still finishing runners-up, watching someone else lift the Super League trophy in both 2020–21 and 2021–22. Then the club turned to Yeliz Özel, a former national team captain, and signed her for that 2023–24 season. The team beat Yenimahalle Bld. SK 3–1 in the playoffs to take the title, then went out and won the Turkish Cup and the Super Cup as well, both against Kastamonu Bld. GSK. A year later they retained the league, seeing off Adasokağı SK 3–1, before Özel's side added the inaugural Presidential Cup in 2026.

The team plays out of the Binnaz Karakaya Sports Hall in Bodrum's Gümbet district, a ground that seats 450. It carries the nickname "Denizin Kızları," the Girls of the Sea, and wears blue and white. Bodrum has no other women's side in the Super League, so there is no local derby to speak of; the rivalry that matters runs instead against Yenimahalle Bld. SK, met twice now in league playoffs and again in Super Cup finals, and against Kastamonu Bld. GSK, the opponent in both the Cup and Super Cup deciders of 2023.

Not every final has gone their way — Bursa Büyükşehir Bld. beat them 30–26 in the 2025 Super Cup, a rare defeat set against back-to-back league titles. The club itself dates to 1987, but its women's handball section only came together in 2008, and it took until Özel's arrival for the trophies to start piling up in earnest. She remains the name attached to that turn.
