Atlético Baleares

The blue-and-white stripes worn today trace back to that same origin — copied from the badge of the Isleña Marítima shipping line, where the club's founders worked the docks before Mecánico FC and Mallorca FC merged into Baleares Football Club in 1920. The Athletic name arrived later, in 1942, after a further fusion with Athletic FC.

The cup has been kinder to reputation than the league table ever was: in the 2021–22 Copa del Rey, Atlético Baleares knocked out Getafe 5–0 and then beat Celta de Vigo before Valencia ended the run in the last sixteen. The club reached the same stage again in 2025–26, this time falling to Atlético de Madrid.

Honours have come in leaner, older doses — the Copa Presidente de la República, won in successive years in the mid-1930s, and the Copa Federación de España in 2015–16 sit alongside a Mallorca championship from 1928.

The Estadi Balear now holds 5,500.
