«Fiebre Amarilla»
Alcorcón beat Real Madrid 4-0 in the Copa del Rey, a result still known in Spanish football as the "Alcorconazo". Borja Pérez scored twice that night. Juan Antuenca, the manager who set the team up to do it, took the club up from Segunda B that same season.
The club had no ancestor to inherit a badge or a rivalry from.
Two other managers who passed through the dugout at the Estadio Municipal de Santo Domingo went on to bigger things: José Bordalás later took both Alavés and Getafe into La Liga, and Julio Velázquez ended up in charge of Udinese.
The yellow shirt gave the club its nickname, Fiebre Amarilla — Yellow Fever — and Kappa dressed the team in yellow and orange with dark navy trim for the 2025/26 season.
