Stebonheath Park has hosted the club since 1920, and the ground carries an odd distinction: a 400-metre running track, four lanes wide on the straights, wraps around the pitch — the narrowest such track in Britain, shared with Llanelli AAC and used for rugby league fixtures as well. A 2008 stand rebuild, adding 300 seats, brought the capacity to a level that let the club stage European ties at home.

Those European nights produced the club's best-remembered results: a 1-0 win over Motherwell in 2009–10, and a 1-0 Champions League qualifier win over Latvia's Ventspils the year before. Rhys Griffiths scored 180 goals in 181 appearances between 2006 and 2012, a tally that stands as the highest scoring record in Welsh football, before he left for Plymouth Parkway.

The club that won the Welsh Premier League in 2008 and the Welsh Cup in 2011, under the ownership of the Jesco Group and Lucas Cazorla Luque, no longer exists in law. HM Revenue and Customs took Llanelli AFC to the High Court in London in 2013 over unpaid debts, and the club was wound up. A successor was formed within the year, Llanelli Town AFC, starting again in the lower divisions of the Welsh pyramid under chairman Wayne Stevens. It won the Cymru South title in 2017–18.
