About the player
Ignacio Aliseda played for Defensa y Justicia and made his professional debut in the Copa Sudamericana against Banfield in 2018. After 27 league appearances for the Argentine side, he moved to MLS in February 2020, joining Chicago Fire FC as a Young Designated Player. He made 43 league appearances and scored five goals for the club.
In January 2022, Aliseda joined FC Lugano in the Swiss Super League. He made 71 league appearances and scored 16 goals over three seasons, plus a Swiss Cup title in 2021–22. His contract at Lugano ran out in the middle of 2025, and he signed for Cerro Porteño as a free agent, presented at the Paraguayan club on 3 July 2025.
Suspension kept him out of the final matchday, but he was still part of the squad that clinched the title on 30 November 2025.
At international level, Aliseda has not been capped by the senior Argentina side, though he represented the under-23s at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, where the team won gold.
