About the player
Mayk broke into professional football at América de Natal before Bahia took him on loan and then signed him permanently in 2019. His years at Bahia were shaped by loan spells away from the club, first to Joinville and then to Retrô, and in May 2022 he terminated his contract with Bahia and joined Retrô outright.
A move to Guarani followed in September 2022, and he stayed long enough to have his contract renewed through to 2024 before leaving that year. Grêmio then signed him permanently in February 2024. A loan to Novorizontino in June 2025 was capped by a place in the Campeonato Paulista Team of the Year in 2026. Grêmio sold him permanently to Clube do Remo in March 2026.
He has not been called up to Brazil's senior national side.
