Robert Ayrton Piris Da Motta

Robert Piris Da Motta came up through Rubio Ñu, where he made over 120 appearances after starting there in 2010, before a loan to Olimpia in 2015. He then moved abroad, first to San Lorenzo in Argentina in January 2017, then, in August 2018, to Flamengo. In Rio de Janeiro he won the Copa Libertadores in 2019, the Campeonato Brasileiro that same year, the Recopa Sudamericana and Supercopa do Brasil in 2020, and two Campeonato Carioca titles. A loan to Turkish side Gençlerbirliği in the 2020–2021 season gave him regular football, and he scored six goals in 36 appearances there. He returned home in January 2022, joining Cerro Porteño, where he now wears the number 26 shirt. The move brought him a domestic double this year, with the Torneo Clausura and the Supercopa Paraguay both won in 2025. At international level, Piris Da Motta made his debut for Paraguay in a friendly against Mexico in May 2016 and has since earned nine caps. He was part of the squad for the 2024 Copa América in Brazil, featuring in the quarter-final defeat to Peru. Earlier in his career, he took a silver medal with Paraguay's under-20 side at the 2013 South American Under-20 Championship.
