Molde Women

In 1994 the women's side of Molde spent a single season in the Toppserien, then dropped out of it. Thirty-one years passed before they were back: promotion in 2025 returned them to the top flight for only the second time in the section's history. The intervening decades were spent in the lower reaches.

The section grew out of a girls' team that the coach Leif Sylte put together in 1972; it took until 1978 for the players to enter senior competition. For most of what came after, women's football at Molde sat inside the club's academy structure. That changed at the end of 2022, when it was split out as a division of its own — a question of who ran it and who paid for it rather than of anything on the pitch.

Julie Belden Rasmussen was the team's leading scorer in both 2016 and 2017 and finished with 44 goals in 51 appearances.

Since 2014 the home ground has been the Aker Stadion, 11,249 seats.
