The women's side spent 2023 winning the second tier outright, and the promotion that followed took the team back to the top division of Norwegian football. That season is the clearest marker in the record of Odd's women's team — first place in the 1. divisjon Kvinner, and a return upward.

The team does not stand alone. It sits inside Odds Ballklubb, the Skien club founded on 31 March 1894, and it takes the parent club's colours, its badge and its ground. There is no separate legal entity, no separate crest. When the women play at home they wear the white shirts and black shorts that the men wear; away, the arrangement reverses — black shirts, white shorts. The women's side keeps its own site, at oddkvinner.no, but the identity behind it is the one the club has carried since the late nineteenth century.

Odd Grenland Kvinner is the name the team is also known by, a holdover from the period when the parent club carried the Grenland district in its title.

What that inheritance amounts to in practice is a stadium far larger than a second-tier campaign would normally call for. The Skagerak Arena holds 11,767 seated spectators. A women's promotion season is played out on the same turf, between the same stands, as everything else the club does in Skien — a town in Telemark that has kept its football at one address rather than splitting it between two.
