Arna-Bjørnar Women

Bergen's second women's side plays its football in Arna, an eastern district of the city, on a ground that holds 1,200. Arna-Bjørnar have spent most of the last two decades in the Toppserien, and the seasons that stand out are the ones where they finished third: 2001, then again in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and once more in 2018.

The name arrived in 2001, when the team entered the league system in place of Bjørnar IL. Everything before that belongs to the predecessor, including the first cup final: in 2000, Bjørnar IL lost 4-1 to Asker in the NM-kvinner decider.

Relegation followed, and the route back ran through the 1. divisjon Kvinner. The club won it in 2005 and returned to the top flight, which is where the third-place finishes come from.

What is missing is straightforward enough.
