Fyllingsdalen Women

A 2-0 win over Frigg in the spring of 2026 sent Fyllingdalen through to the semi-final of the Norwegian Cup, the furthest the women's side has gone in the competition and a rare run for a club that spends its seasons in the middle of the second tier. There was no run to a final to follow it, no trophy at the end, but for a team more accustomed to fighting mid-table finishes in 1. divisjon than to cup drama, the result stood out on its own.

The club plays out of Varden Amfi in Bergen, a 3,500-capacity ground also known locally as Fyllingsdalen Stadion, in shirts of purple and light blue. Between 2014 and 2017 the team held a place in Toppserien, Norway's top flight, before dropping back down; since then it has settled into the second division, finishing sixth in 2023 and fifth in 2024, seasons defined less by silverware than by staying up.

Derby weekends belong to Åsane Fotball, based in the same city, and matches between the two are billed simply as the Bergen derby — no separate name has attached itself to the fixture the way it has elsewhere. The men's side that shares the Fyllingsdalen name has the deeper roster of recognised names, Per-Ove Ludvigsen and Erik Huseklepp among them from the old Fyllingen years, but the women's team has yet to produce a similarly documented list of alumni beyond the club.

The name itself dates only to 2012, when Fyllingen, founded in 1946, merged with Løv-Ham, founded in 1975. The merger took effect on 1 January that year, and the women's team has carried the Fyllingsdalen name ever since — younger than either of the clubs it grew out of.
