Klepp Women

It came two years after they had already been champions, in 1987. That order matters: the title arrived first, and the cup confirmed it wasn't a one-off.

Between those two seasons Klepp were second in almost everything they entered. Runners-up in the cup in 1987, runners-up in the league in 1988, then bronze in 1989 and again in 1990. For four years the club was in the conversation at the end of every campaign without often finishing on top of it.

A third bronze followed in 1999, and a cup final in 1997 that ended the way most of them did after 1989. Klepp Elite now play in 1. divisjon Kvinner , the second tier.

Home is Klepp Stadion , in Kleppe, and it holds 505. That figure says more about the club than any table does. The green and white have not changed.

The football team is one part of Klepp IL, a multi-sport club founded on 1 October 1919.
