Start Women

Start's women went to the final and lost it 0-1 to Arna-Bjørnar.

Before September 2022, the team already wore the yellow and black and already answered to the name Start, but it did so under the umbrella of Gimletroll Kvinner. That arrangement ended at an extraordinary general meeting held at the Sparebanken Sør Arena on 14 September 2022, where the club was constituted as an organisation of its own inside Idrettsklubben Start.

What followed ran in one direction. The cup final came in 2025; in 2026 the club won the 1. divisjon Kvinner and with it the right to play in the Toppserien.

The ground has changed its name more than the team has changed its coach. It is the Sparebanken Norge Arena now, on Stadionveien in Kristiansand, and was the Sparebanken Sør Arena and the Sør Arena before that — 14,448 seats.

Some of the sharing goes further than the ground. There is no separate crest for the women's team; the IK Start badge covers both. The nickname works the same way — Tigerberget belongs to the official supporters' club, which serves both sides of the house rather than one.
