The final of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga has become a fixture between Pärnu and Tartu Ülikool, and the two have met there more than once in recent seasons.

The club goes back to a non-profit association registered in Pärnu on 28 September 2000, and reached the top-tier Meistriliiga in 2006. For most of its life it played under sponsor names rather than its own: Pärnu Sadam from 2015, after the Port of Pärnu came on as backer, and Transcom Pärnu since 2025.

Mihkel Kirves was named the league's best defender three seasons running, from 2017 to 2019.
