Poruba HC U20

Poruba's under-20 side went top of the regular season table in 2024–2025. Two earlier group wins, in 2014–2015 and 2016–2017, set up the run that actually mattered: the U20 championship taken in 2015–2016, still the shelf's single trophy.

That academy has sent players through to the senior game for longer than the trophy suggests. Martin Prusek came out of Poruba on his way to a World Championship gold with the national team and a career at Vítkovice Ridera. More recently Jan Kavan and Tobiáš Vehovský have carried the age group's shirt into national-team call-ups.

The team plays out of the RT Torax Arena, red, white and blue matching the senior club's colours. Getting to a settled identity took decades: Poruba have played as Sokol, as Tatran, merged with Hutní Montáže Ostrava, and carried sponsor names through HK, Sareza, VOKD and RT Torax before the current tag stuck.
