Before that, the last U20 crown had come in 2001–02.

What the junior side has mostly produced is proof of concept rather than trophies. Dominik Hašek, Milan Hejduk and Aleš Hemský all passed through it on the way to the National Hockey League, and Petr Sýkora remains the club's all-time leading scorer at senior level. None of that shows up in a U20 honours list, but it is the reason the shirt still carries weight locally, red and white, with the nickname Perníkáři — Gingerbread Men — inherited whole from the parent club rather than earned separately.

The senior team's own Extraliga titles, four of them stretching from 2004–05 to the 2025–26 season, give the junior setup something to aim at rather than a history of its own.
