Everything before it — TKS, Pomorzanin, Towimor, Filmar, TKH, Nesta — belongs to the same lineage, carried forward by a legal entity, KS Toruń HSA, set up in 2010 after TKH Toruń went bankrupt. The club still counts its founding to 1924.

What survived the reorganisations is the nickname. Stalowe Pierniki , the Steel Gingerbread Cookies, fuses Toruń's centuries-old gingerbread trade with a former sponsor, Eurostal, and it stuck through every rebrand that followed.

The club has never taken the Polish league title; its highest finish was silver in 1968, as Pomorzanin, with bronze medals scattered across 1928, 1950, 1967, 1969 and 1996 under whatever name it carried at the time. The one trophy it does hold came in 2006, when TKH Toruń beat Podhale Nowy Targ on penalties after a 4-4 draw to win the Polish Cup. Two Polish 1. Liga titles, in 2002 and 2011, mark the club's spells outside the top flight.

Robert Fraszko, once the captain, now works as sporting director.

None of that history carries the weight of the Pomerania derby.
