Goalless stalemate leaves both sides searching for answers
Lepenci and Trepa Mitrovica played out a 0-0 draw in Liga 2's fifth round on Friday evening. Neither side could find a breakthrough in what proved to be a cagey affair at the home ground.
The result keeps both clubs in the bottom half of the table, with Lepenci remaining 16th on three points from four games and Trepa Mitrovica stuck on 15th with four points. The margin between them remains razor-thin at just one point.
Lepenci's winless run extends to four matches, though they have shown resilience with three draws from their opening five fixtures. Their recent form includes a 1-1 draw with Dinamo Ferizaj on September 6th and a goalless stalemate with Mitrovica on August 30th.
Trepa Mitrovica have struggled for consistency, managing only one victory from four games. They drew 0-0 with Kika in their most recent outing before losing 1-2 to Rilindzha 1974 last month.
With no goals scored and limited attacking threat from either side, both teams will be looking for improvement as the season progresses. The draw does little to separate the two sides at the wrong end of the table.
