About the player
Artem Slesar came through Dynamo Kyiv's academy, joining in 2016 and spending seven years in the club's youth ranks, where he scored 11 goals for the under-19 side. In August 2023 he moved out on loan to Zorya Luhansk, and his first taste of senior football came on 7 March 2024, when he started as Zorya beat Mynai 2-0 in the Ukrainian Premier League.
The loan spell ran until the summer of 2025, after which Slesar returned briefly to Dynamo before Zorya made the move permanent, paying €300,000 to sign him outright on 1 July 2025.
His breakthrough season came in 2025/2026, when he made 30 league appearances and contributed 3 goals and 4 assists. He has continued into the current campaign with five appearances so far. Across his time at the club he has now made more than 50 league outings.
At international level, Slesar has been capped four times by Ukraine's under-21 side, mostly in European Championship qualifiers, with one friendly appearance also on his record. He has not yet featured for the senior national team.
