Juninho

Left-footed and wearing the number 10 at Zorya Luhansk, Juninho is a left-back. Born in Santana de Cataguases, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, he started out at Metropolitano before brief spells with Tupi and Salgueiro.

His path then turned unusual: rather than staying in South America, he moved to North Macedonia, first with Makedonija Gjorče Petrov and then with Vardar, where he had his most productive spell in front of goal, scoring eight times in 37 league appearances from left-back.

A loan back to Brazil with Goiás in 2022 did not work out on the pitch — he made no appearances during his time there — and he instead found regular football in Cyprus with Pafos, where he made 31 league appearances and scored once across the 2022–2023 season. He returned to Zorya Luhansk in 2024, once again on a free transfer, taking up the number 10 shirt at the club.

Juninho has never been capped by Brazil at senior level, and his career has instead been shaped by a series of smaller leagues and free moves — from Minas Gerais to North Macedonia, Ukraine and Cyprus, and back to Ukraine again.
