About the player
Felipe Morais made his professional debut for Cruzeiro on 4 July 2026, coming off the bench in a friendly against Defensor and scoring in a 2–0 win. His first competitive start followed on 30 July, against Coritiba in the Brasileirão, and he opened his account in the league on 30 August against Vasco da Gama.
He joined Cruzeiro's academy in 2017, at the age of nine, after starting out at Mineiro EC in his hometown, Conselheiro Lafaiete. He progressed through the club's Sub-15, Sub-17 and Sub-20 sides before signing his first professional contract in September 2024.
With Brazil's Under-17 side, Morais was a key player as the team won the 2025 South American Under-17 Championship and reached fourth place at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he scored against Honduras and Indonesia. He has earned 16 caps and scored twice for the age-group side.
His form has drawn interest from abroad. Chelsea had a bid of around €10 million turned down in 2025, and Shakhtar Donetsk offered €12.5 million plus €2 million in add-ons in 2026, an offer Cruzeiro also rejected. In March 2026, he renewed his contract with the club until the end of 2029, with a release clause set at €100 million.
