About the player
When Spartak Moscow and Krasnodar could not be separated after 120 minutes of the Russian Cup final on 24 May 2026, Igor Dmitriev put his hand up for the first penalty of the shootout. He scored it, and Spartak went on to win 4-3 from the spot after a 1-1 draw.
Dmitriev came through at Leningradets, where he spent from 2021 to 2023 and made 46 league appearances, scoring 11 goals. Those were productive years for the club too: bronze in 2021/22, then the Second League (Group 2) title in 2022/23.
Ural exercised a buyout option in June 2023 and he played 28 league matches for them across the 2023/24 season. On 26 July 2024 they paid a reported €2.5 million, handing him a contract to 2028 and a signing bonus of 60 million rubles, then immediately sent him to Krylia Sovetov on loan for 2024/25. He made 22 league appearances there and scored three.
The return to Moscow brought 25 league appearances and one goal in 2025/26, alongside the cup medal. Russia have used him consistently through the youth grades: three caps and a goal at under-18 level, one at under-19, and 12 caps with three goals for the under-21s as of November 2025. The senior call has not come yet.
