Lukas Malicsek

Malicsek is a Vienna native who came through the ranks at ASC Götzendorf before Admira Wacker Mödling took him into their academy in 2009. He worked his way through the club's youth sides and into the first team, making his debut in the 2016/17 season, then spent four years with Admira Wacker's second string, racking up 56 appearances. A loan spell at SV Horn in 2019/20 gave him a regular run of senior football away from Admira, with 24 league appearances and a goal in the Austrian second tier, before he returned to Mödling that July.

He found the net from the back in back-to-back seasons. That six-year stretch at Admira came to an end in June 2026, when his contract expired and he moved to SV Ried on a free transfer, signing through to 2028. He had made three appearances for his new club by August 2026.

Malicsek's development was tracked closely by Austria's youth set-ups: he was capped at U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 level, appearing across all five age groups between 2015 and 2020. A senior call-up has not yet followed.
