About the player
Lukas Reich made his professional debut for TSV 1860 München in the 3. Liga on 28 April 2024 and quickly became a regular starter, going on to make 35 league appearances for the club. He had joined the München academy in 2016 after starting out at FC Forstern. In the summer of 2025, Fürth brought him in from München for a reported fee of €500,000, with the defender signing a contract running until 2028; his former club kept a sell-on clause in the deal.
Reich has come through Germany's youth ranks, representing the national side at U16, U18, U19 and U20 level and collecting 12 caps along the way. The high point so far came at the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Romania, where Germany reached the semi-finals. Reich was named in the 20-man squad for the tournament, wearing the number 15 shirt. Germany's group stage brought a heavy 0–3 defeat to the Netherlands, a wild 5–5 draw with England and a 2–1 win over Norway, and Reich came on as a substitute in the 95th minute of one of the matches.
He arrives at Greuther Fürth with senior football still relatively new to him before the move to the 2. Bundesliga.
