About the player
Marcelo Henrique broke into senior football at Cuiabá, signing with the club in January 2024 and staying on the books through a contract running to the end of 2028. He was part of the Cuiabá squad that won the Campeonato Mato-Grossense that year.
In February 2026 he returned to Athletic Club on loan from Cuiabá, an arrangement set to run until December, after which he is due back at his parent club. At Athletic Club he has featured in the Campeonato Mineiro and the Brasileirão Série B, and he was part of the squad that won the Troféu Inconfidência in 2025.
Marcelo Henrique, left-footed and used primarily at left-back, is a São Paulo native. He has not been capped by Brazil at senior level.
