About the player
Krasnodar's first league title, on 24 May 2025, was sealed with a 3–0 win over Dynamo Moscow. That season the centre-back scored twice in 23 league matches, with goals against Rubin Kazan and CSKA Moscow.
He came through the youth ranks at São Paulo without breaking into the senior league side, playing instead in the Copa Paulista in 2016 and then spending the early months of 2017 on loan at Grêmio Novorizontino for the Campeonato Paulista, where he made a single appearance. A loan to Gil Vicente in July 2017 with an option to buy, taken up the following year, opened things up. A season on loan at Portimonense gave him 26 league appearances and a goal.
SC Braga signed him on 13 June 2019 on a five-year contract, for a reported €1.25 million. He made 126 appearances in all competitions, 81 of them in the league, and won the Taça da Liga in 2019–20 and the Taça de Portugal the season after.
Krasnodar paid a reported €3 million for him in August 2023, with bonuses that could take the fee higher, on a deal since extended to 2029. He has played 100 matches for the club, 79 of them in the league. He has not been capped by Brazil.
