AGF

The players who pull on the white shirt at Vejlby Stadion inherit a run of trophies that none of them played for. Ten league titles sit in the record. Two Danish Cups followed in 1993 and 1994. The third, in 2008–09, is the most recent silverware attached to the name.

None of that was won by AGF. The club as it stands now dates from 1 July 2020, when three sides in and around the city — AGF, VSK Aarhus and IF Lyseng — folded into one. The licence came from VSK Aarhus, and with it a lineage that runs back through Hjortshøj-Egå Idrætsforening to the 1970s. The merger gathered up the honours along with the paperwork.

What the merger did not deliver was a quick return to the top of the Kvindeligaen. The side finished sixth of ten in 2024–25 and fifth in 2025–26 — an improvement, but a modest one against a trophy list that stops sixteen years ago. Nine bronze medals sit between the last cup and the present.

Home is Vejlby Stadion, capacity 5 200, rather than at Ceres Park, where the men play. The women's team has never moved in there. White shirts, dark blue shorts and socks; in the local dialect the team is De Hvii'e — the Whites.

The gap in the record is the obvious one. A club carrying ten league titles has not competed for one since the last century, and has not won a knockout tie that mattered since 2009. Fifth place in a ten-team division leaves a long way to the pace at the front.
