Køge BK

Two Danish clubs stopped competing with each other in 2009 and merged instead: Køge Boldklub, which dated back to 1927, and Herfølge Boldklub, founded six years earlier. The result took a hyphenated identity into a single name, HB Køge, and the women's side that grew out of it has spent the years since collecting the trophies.

The first of them arrived immediately. HB Køge won the Danish women's top flight in 2020/21, its debut season in the A-Liga, then won the title the following year without losing a match. A third followed in 2022/23. When the league came back to Køge in 2025/26, it came with the Danish Women's Cup attached — FC Nordsjælland beaten 4-1 in the final.

European nights have been harder. The 2021/22 group draw put a club that had been a first-division side for one season into Group C alongside Barcelona, Arsenal and Hoffenheim, and HB Køge finished bottom without a point. Juventus knocked them out in qualifying the next season, 3-1 on aggregate, and in 2023/24 the run ended earlier still, against KuPS of Finland in the first qualifying round.

Home is the Capelli Sport Stadion, which older supporters still call Køge Idrætspark and which the women share with the men's team.
