In 2023/24 the reserve side of ASV Aarhus finished first in 1. Division West (1. Division Vest), the second tier of Danish volleyball. That season is the best the second team has to show.

The name explains what the second team belongs to. ASV stands for Aarhus Studenternes Volleyballforening, the Aarhus students' volleyball association, set up in 1960. Its women's side won the Danish cup five times, in 1976, 1977, 1981, 1989 and 1990.

The halls are part of the story. ASV Aarhus 2 has no single home. Matches move between Århus Gl. Stadionhal on Stadion Allé, Rundhøjhallen in Højbjerg and hall 4 of Vejlby Risskov Hallen. Setter Jonas Balch Vestergaard is one of the names attached to it.
