The hall in Risskov, Aarhus, that used to be called VIA-hal is now the Raptus Arena. VK Raptus began there in 2018 under KFUM og KFUK i Distrikt Aarhus, the local branch of a Danish youth organisation, and it kept that affiliation as it grew.

Within five years the club had about 160-170 members and nine senior teams, spread from the Jyllandsserien up to the 2. Division. On 4 February 2023, at the Danish Volleyball Award, A-Sport.dk named it Club of the Year for 2022. The citation pointed to that growth, and to the way the club had taken up Volleyball Denmark's own motto, "Plads til alle – brug for alle": room for everyone, a need for everyone.

On court, the first team plays in the 1. Division Vest, the second tier of Danish volleyball. It finished 5th in 2023/24 and 6th the season after, then rose to 3rd in 2025/26. The club has also entered the Danish Cup.
