Ikast 2 play in the 1. Division West, the second tier of Danish volleyball. The men of Ikast KFUM Volleyball took bronze in the VolleyLigaen in 2025/26. Two seasons earlier, in 2024, they had reached the Final4 of the Danish Cup. Ikast 2 is the second string of that operation.

The name is short for Ikast KFUM Volleyball 2, and KFUM, the Danish YMCA, is the tradition behind it. Volleyball activity in Ikast dates from 1974. The club was registered as a separate legal entity on 23 January 2011, when it took its own company number, 33332432, and an address on Hyldgårds Alle. It wears red shirts with black shorts at home and goes all black away.

IBF Arena, still called Ikast Hallen by some in the town, was built in 1968. It seats 2,500, and about 300 more can stand, which is a lot of hall for a reserve side in the second division.

The second team has won nothing nationally. The Cup and the league title both remain out of reach for the club as a whole.
