Bedsted

Bedsted's men and women both play in the 1. Division Vest, the First Division West, and the club runs the two teams side by side out of a hall in Bedsted Thy. Skive Volley is the nearest prominent volleyball club. Flemming West combines the roles of outside hitter and head coach. Wiktor Jezierski, a Pole, is among the recent players.

The club has not always been at this level. In 2012/13 it played in the Danish Volleyball League. It has also spent time in the 1. Division Øst, the First Division East, so the route has run in both directions and across both halves of the country.

Bedsted's statutes date the club to 1952. Leif Hvam, who was born in 1951 and died in 2021, brought the sport to the village's children in the late 1970s. He then stayed on as coach, sports director and sponsor manager. Preben Dahlgaard is now chairman, and eight honorary members are named on the club's own roll, which is a long list for a village club.

Bedsted has no national title or cup win to show, and its one recorded honour comes from the youth ranks: the U14 county championship, won in 2014.
