Dresdner SC Women

The Margon Arena holds 3,000 for volleyball.

The women's department was formed in 1990, in the reshuffling that followed Germany's political changes, and it took the club seven years to reach the 1. Bundesliga, where it has stayed since the 1997/98 season. Black and red became the colours fans learned to look for.

Six German championships have gone to Dresden since 1999, spread unevenly across the years — a first title that season, then nothing until 2007, before the club settled into a stretch of dominance with titles in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2021. The DVV-Pokal has come to Dresden seven times, most recently in 2025. In 2010 the team stepped outside Germany altogether and won the CEV Challenge Cup.
