Rzeszow Women

Seven times between 2017 and 2024, Rzeszów's volleyball players walked off the court after a Tauron Liga final having lost it.

The club behind that streak was created in 2012 by the real estate firm DevelopRes, which built the team from scratch and lent it its name.

That changed under Stéphane Antiga. The French coach arrived in 2019 already inheriting that habit of losing finals, and it took him six years to turn one of those appearances into a championship. The 2025 title was the first in the club's history, won in the same year as the Polish Cup and the Polish Super Cup.

The team known as Rysice, after the lynx on Rzeszów's coat of arms, plays in white and red at Hala Podpromie, a hall that seats 4,304 for volleyball but can be expanded to 6,800 with temporary stands. Local games against Stal Mielec are billed as the Derby Podkarpacia; the finals that mattered more, though, were against Łódź's ŁKS Commercecon.

In Europe, the ceiling has held at the quarter-finals of the CEV Champions League, reached in four straight seasons through 2026. At home, Rzeszów are back where they spent most of the 2020s — in the final, and on the losing side of it.
