«LGV»
Lyngby won the Danish Cup in 2004 and took the Danish Championship (Danmarksmesterskab) the following year, in 2005. Both titles came under the name Lyngby Volleyballklub.
In 2007 the team reached the top of both competitions again and finished second in each, the championship and the cup.
The name has changed since. Lyngby Volleyballklub itself began in 1976 as Lyngby Kvindelig Idrætsforening. On 30 August 2011 it merged with Gladsaxe Volleyballklub. The joint club, Lyngby-Gladsaxe Volley, is usually shortened to LGV and plays in blue and black.
Its hall, Engelsborghallen on Engelsborgvej, holds 150 spectators.
After the merger LGV reached one more championship final, in 2015, and lost it.
