In the Czech women's volleyball pyramid, Jihlava sits in the second-tier 1. liga, with the club's youth sides doing the heavier lifting for reputation — the U20 team has reached the Extraliga U20 final tournament.

The club traces itself back to 2001, when it played under the name Pro Volejbal Jihlava and took part in European competition. That original project folded into the present legal entity, Volejbal Jihlava, z.s., registered on 24 April 2007, and the club has counted its history from the earlier date ever since rather than starting the clock over.

Matches are played at the Rošický Sports Hall, a ground that holds 250.

Kryštof Kozler runs the first team as head coach, working across a structure that feeds U18 and U22 sides as well as the U20 group that has already tested itself at national level.
