Volleyball in Šlapanice began in a gym class in 1926; one was finally made and posts put up in 1928, the date the section counts as its start. Women took up the game two years later, in 1930, well before the volleyball players joined the newly re-established Sokol unit in 1948.

The women's team has spent recent seasons working up from the second tier of the Czech league system. They finished runners-up in the 2. Liga in 2023/24 and again in 2024/25. In the Czech Cup they have gone out at the hands of stronger opposition — beaten 3-0 by České Budějovice in 2023/24 and 3-1 by Beskydy a year later.
