KP Brno Women

That standing was built in stretches, not steadily. The team won the Czechoslovak title four times between 1951 and 1992, and reached a continental final in 1978, taking the Cup Winners' Cup. Extraliga titles followed in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007, and the club won the league again in 2023, pairing it with a Czech Cup that same year. Domestic cups had already come regularly before that, in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006, and once more in 2022.

Kateřina Pelikánová is the name most associated with the club's recent identity, part of a generation of players who came through alongside the Sportovní gymnázium Ludvíka Daňka.

Matches are played at the Sportovní hala TJ Sokol Brno I, the Kounicova hall, which holds 900 — modest enough that finals and the biggest derbies move instead to the Winning Group Arena.

None of this existed under the current name until 1996, when the club was set up as a legal entity carrying forward what had been played in Brno for decades before it — through TJ Královopolská strojírna and SK Královo Pole, and the 1990 Czechoslovak championship won as KPS Brno, the season right before the restructuring that gave the club its present form.
